Audiologist Licensure in Minnesota
The practice of audiology in Minnesota is controlled by Minnesota Statute 148.511 to 148.5198. In order to practice Audiology or use the title Audiologist within the State of Minnesota you must be licensed by the State of Minnesota.
The licensure process in Minnesota requires that audiologists:
- Complete an application provided by the Department of Health;
- Pass a practical examination for hearing instrument dispensing; and
- Pay a fee.
To demonstrate training that meets requirements of licensure in Minnesota the state requires board certification by the American Board of Audiology, a Certificate of Clinical Competency by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, or the equivalent.
